May 23 2007

Council Present:

Cleo Gallegos, Dee Ray Bailey, Rocky Baker and Roger Denker.

Employees Present:

Linda Dayley, Scott Spevak, Mike Brown and  Ralph Martini.  Steve Tuft - excused. 

Visitors Present: Max Vaughn, Mark Maier and Joe Herring.

Meeting conducted by Mayor George A. Anderson.

Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Anderson.

Approve Minutes of the Council Meeting on May 9, 2007.

Motion by Dee Ray Bailey to approve the minutes of the Council Meeting on May 9, 2007. Second by Cleo Gallegos. Vote: Cleo Gallegos - Aye; Dee Ray Bailey - Aye; Roger Denker - Aye.

Approve Minutes of the Special Council Meeting on May 11, 2007.

Motion by Cleo Gallegos to approve the minutes of the Special Council Meeting on May 11, 2007. Second by Dee Ray Bailey. Vote: Cleo Gallegos - Aye; Dee Ray Bailey - Aye; Roger Denker - Aye; Rocky Baker - Aye. 

Approve paying the bills.

Discussion on Water Curtailment.

Ralph Martini explained to the Mayor and Council the notice of potential water curtailment in District 130 received from the State of Idaho Department of Water Resources. If the curtailment happens it would mean that there would be no watering of lawns etc. from culinary water, which comes from the City wells. Right now no one knows what will happen but Ralph will keep the Council updated on the situation.

Mark Maier (Boyer Company), Max Vaughn (Minidoka County Assessor) and Joe Herring ( Region IV Development) discussed Urban Renewal financing and how it affects the tax levy with the Mayor and Council.

Executive Session for Matters of Litigation and Personnel.

Motion by Cleo Gallegos for an Executive Session for Matters of Litigation and Personnel. Second by Dee Ray Bailey. Roll Call Vote: Cleo Gallegos - Aye; Dee Ray Bailey - Aye; Roger Denker - Aye; Rocky Baker - Aye.
