NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CITY OF HEYBURN PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION will hold a public hearing on Tuesday 16 August 2022 at 4:00 PM in the City Council Chambers located at 941 18th Street, Heyburn, Idaho to hear public comment on the following application by the City.

ZONING pursuant to Idaho Code 67-6511 of the properties belonging to Lightning Land & Development, LLC, Armando and Wendy Correa, Mary Morrison, Roberto Hernandez, and State of Idaho Department of Highways contiguous to the City of Heyburn.  

          1.         The above properties, RP061500090010, RP10S23E090321, RP10S23E091820, RP07640000008A, RP07640000011A, RP07640000014A, and RP10S23E097215, open farmland north of I-84 and west of 500 West; Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, and 14 of Millard Subdivision known by the addresses of 348 A and B 500 West; and remaining unannexed Interstate 84 between Exits 208 and 211, Heyburn, Idaho, known together by the legal description:

Township 10 South, Range 23 East of the Boise Meridian, Minidoka County, Idaho

Section 9: A portion of the NE Quarter of the NE Quarter, the SE Quarter of the NE Quarter, a portion of the NE Quarter of the SE Quarter and a portion of the NW Quarter of the SE Quarter, and,

Thence North 0°20’12” West 76.83 feet to the south line of the SW Quarter of the NW Quarter;

Thence along said south line North 89°42’49” East 732.12 feet to the east boundary of the Lands of Hernandez;

The leaving said right-of-way and along the east boundary of Hernandez North 0°20’50” West 662.23 feet to the north line of the south half of the SW Quarter of the NW Quarter;

Thence along said North line South 89°42’44” West 759.40 feet to a point on the right-of-way of Interstate Highway 84 Project I-IG-80N3(3)20E 500 West Overpass;

Thence along said right-of-way North 3°00’32” West 163.00 feet;

Thence continuing along said right-of-way South 89°39’47” West 25.00 feet to the true point of beginning.

These properties are currently zoned by Minidoka County as Agricultural Low and the city solicits proposals for zoning of the land after annexation.

The public is invited to attend and give comment regarding this proposed action.  Written comments will be accepted at the office of Heyburn City Clerk until 5:00 PM on 11 August 2022 and placed into the record and heard by the P&Z Commission at the date of the meeting.  Submission can be by drop off of documents, fax (208) 679-2438, or e-mail (as listed above).

P&Z Commission recommendations for Zoning, if any, may be submitted to the HEYBURN CITY COUNCIL for a public hearing on 24 August 2022 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
