Notice of Public Hearing - The Griswold Property Zoning 092022

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

THE CITY OF HEYBURN PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION will hold a public hearing on Tuesday 20 September 2022 at 4:00 PM in the City Council Chambers located at 941 18th Street, Heyburn, Idaho to hear public comment on the following applications by the City.

ZONING pursuant to Idaho Code 67-6511 of the properties belonging to Diane Griswold contiguous to the City of Heyburn.  

             The Griswold Property, portions of RP10S23E097850 and RP10S23E097255, an open field/ditch located west of 500 West and north of Interstate 84, Heyburn, Idaho, known by the legal description:

Township 10 South, Range 23 East, Boise Meridian, Minidoka County, Idaho

Section 9: A portion of the north half of the SE Quarter north of the Interstate 84 right-of-way more particularly described as follows:

Commencing at the east quarter corner of said Section 9 thence South 89°46’47” West along the north line of the SE Quarter 60.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning.

Thence continuing along said north line South 89°46’47” West 2592.91 feet to a point on the west line of the NW Quarter of the SE Quarter;

Thence along said west line South 0°13’39” East 77.45 feet to the north boundary of Interstate 84 right-of-way;

Thence along said north right-of-way North 89°45’54” East 2593.06 feet to a point on the west right-of-way of Interstate 84 at the 500 West Overpass;

Thence along said west right-of-way North 0°20’12” West 76.79 feet to the True Point of Beginning.

This property is currently zoned by Minidoka County as Agricultural Low and the city solicits proposals for zoning of the land after annexation.

A copy of the proposed Ordinance and maps are available for review and inspection at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, Heyburn, Idaho or by request by e-mail to tmorley@heyburncity.org or dencinas@heyburncity.org

The public is invited to attend and give comment regarding this application.  Written comments will be accepted at the office of Heyburn City Clerk until 5:00 PM on 15 September 2022 and placed into the record for review by the P&Z Commission for the meeting.  Submission can be by drop off, fax (208) 679-2438, or e-mail (as listed above).

P&Z Commission recommendations for Zoning, if any, may be submitted to the HEYBURN CITY COUNCIL for a public hearing on 28 September 2022 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
