NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
                                                                                        
THE CITY OF HEYBURN PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION will hold a public hearing on Tuesday 16 August 2022 at 4:00 PM in the City Council Chambers located at 941 18th Street, Heyburn, Idaho to hear public comment on the following applications by the City.
 
ZONING pursuant to Idaho Code 67-6511 of the properties belonging to Gabriel Alonzo contiguous to the City of Heyburn.  
 
              The Alonzo Property, RP10S23E143401, an open field located east of the intersection at A Street and 17th Street, Heyburn, Idaho, known by the legal description:
 
Township 10 South, Range 23 East, Boise Meridian, Minidoka County, Idaho
Section 14: A portion of the SW Quarter of the NW Quarter more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the NW corner of Section 14, said corner marked by an aluminum cap and thence along the west Section line South 0°23’16” East 1172.92 feet to the True Point of Beginning;
Thence South 88°19’31” East 25.00 feet to a 1/2" rebar and LS Cap on the County road easement;
Thence continuing South 88°19’31” East 427.00 feet to a 1/2" rebar and LS Cap;
Thence North 0°17’04” West 214.00 feet to a 1/2" rebar and LS Cap on the south bank of the D15 drain of the Minidoka Irrigation District;
Thence continuing North 0°17’04” West 34.90 feet to the centerline of said drain;
Thence along said drain centerline north 72°50’54” East 638.49 feet;
Thence continuing along said drain centerline North 45°45’17” East 359.01 feet to the east line of the NW Quarter of the NW Quarter;
Thence along said east line South 0°21’37” East 772.59 feet to a 5/8” rebar at the SE corner of the NW Quarter of the NW Quarter;
Thence along the east line of the SW Quarter of the NW Quarter South 0°21’46” East 323.00 feet to a 1/2" rebar;
Thence North 89°38’39” West 1321.95 feet to a 1/2" rebar on the west line of the SW Quarter of the NW Quarter;
Thence along said west line North 0°23’24” West 308.91 feet to a 5/8” rebar at the NW corner of the SW Quarter of the NW Quarter;
Thence along the west line of the NW Quarter of the NW Quarter North 0°23’16” West 151.98 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
 
This property is currently zoned by Minidoka County as Agricultural Medium and the city solicits proposals for zoning of the land after annexation.

The public is invited to attend and give comment regarding this application.  Written comments will be accepted at the office of Heyburn City Clerk until 5:00 PM on 11 August 2022 and placed into the record for review by the P&Z Commission for the meeting.  Submission can be by drop off, fax (208) 679-2438, or e-mail (as listed above).
 
P&Z Commission recommendations for Zoning, if any, may be submitted to the HEYBURN CITY COUNCIL for a public hearing on 24 August 2022 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
