NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

THE CITY OF HEYBURN PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION will hold a public hearing on Tuesday 21 June 2022 at 4:00 PM in the City Council Chambers located at 941 18th Street, Heyburn, Idaho to hear public comment on the following application by the City.

ZONING pursuant to Idaho Code 67-6511 of the property belonging to Arlen Buerkle contiguous to the City of Heyburn.  

The Buerkle Property, RP10S23E112270, located at 343 South 300 West, Heyburn, Idaho, known by the legal description:

Township 10 South, Range 23 East Boise Meridian, Minidoka County, Idaho

Section 11: A portion of SE Quarter of the NE Quarter more particularly described below.

Commencing at the NE Corner of Section 11 marked by an aluminum cap on a 5/8” rebar, thence along the east line of the NE Quarter South 0˚00’00” East 1325.04 feet to a 5/8” rebar at the SE Corner of the NE Quarter of the NE Quarter; Thence continuing along the east line of the SE Quarter of the NE Quarter South 0˚00’00” East 769.12 feet to a 1/2" rebar and The True Point of Beginning.

Thence continuing along said East Line of the SE Quarter of the NE Quarter South 0˚00’00” East 450.30 feet to a 1/2" rebar on the North right-of-way of Interstate Highway 80;

Thence along said North highway right-of-way North 89˚55’43” West 455.42 feet to a 1/2” rebar;

Thence North 0˚03’05” East 449.63 feet to a 1/2" rebar;

Thence North 89˚59’12” East 455.02 feet to The True Point of Beginning.

This property is currently zoned by Minidoka County as Commercial General and the city solicits proposals for zoning of the land after annexation.

The public is invited to attend and give comment regarding this application.  Written comments will be accepted at the office of Heyburn City Clerk until 4:00 PM on 16 June 2022 and placed into the record and heard by the P&Z Commission at the date of the meeting.  Submission can be by drop off of documents, fax (208) 679-2438, or e-mail (as listed above).

P&Z Commission recommendations for Zoning, if any, may be submitted to the HEYBURN CITY COUNCIL for a public hearing on 22 June 2022 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
